Flynn's all, "We've all had witnesses who fell for promises that we couldn't keep," and then the camera fucking cuts to Rusty looking worried because he is a former-prostitute-turned-witness-under-police-protection, too, and I cannot with this show anymore.

And later Sharon tells him, "If you hang out with criminals, eventually you're going to become a witness, a suspect, or a victim." Or, you know, all three, if you're really unlucky.

The FBI agent re: the victim of the week: "I was so busy protecting her from the bad guys that it never occurred to me that she would need protection from herself," while in the other room Rusty is crying and Sharon is watching him through the blinds.

And I still don't know whether Rusty really doesn't want to be with Chris or whether he does want to be with her but knows he isn't safe to be around, and jaksjdklsjdaj.

I wasn't prepared for all my maternal feelings toward this fictional teenage boy.

I guess Sharon wasn't, either.

Major Crimes is just the show that kills my heart every week, like, who said Rusty Beck was allowed to become so important to me, who said, I'm just nothing but emotions about this kid and Sharon and everyone. Like, I have nothing coherent or intelligent to say about this show except that it has so much heart without being wallowy or unnecessarily tragic, GOD, THE PART WHERE CHRIS SAYS "19 IS REALLY YOUNG" AND YOU REMEMBER RUSTY IS 17 AND HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR AGES AND I JUST???? GOD
