i don't get the thing with the thing being all whatever.
Fucking finally. That was awful.
"House of Cunning."
Nick.com has a crystal clear picture compared to where I usually watch the eps, and I am cringing right now at how bad the special effects actually are.
Victor's all hot and bothered over that booby-trapped fireplace.
I hate seeing Patricia all soulless and empty and a vessel for evil. :(
Willow says that Patricia's aura is a weird color. :( One she's never seen before. :( And then "Patricia" poured a pitcher of kool-aid on her head. So these vessels do retain a bit of their former selves. :P
p.s. The episode description says that "Harriet is sectioned," which I think is British for "committed"? Apparently the episode descriptions are either written by a legit Brit or by an American who gets a kick out of using British words and spellings ("artefacts"). Pretty cute if it's the latter.
Man, evil Trixie takes curling her hair very seriously.
There are several people living in the house who aren't Sibunaing, but Sibuna thinks it's a good idea to lock KT in a room, like no one else could hear her. Not even a secret room. Just her actual bedroom.
It's 11:30, bitches are supposed to be sleeping.
So, acient Egyptian religion funtimes. From wikipedia:
Ammit (also spelled Ammut or Ahemait) was a female demon in ancient Egyptian religion with a body that was part lion, hippopotamus and crocodile—the three largest "man-eating" animals known to ancient Egyptians. A funerary deity, her titles included "Devourer of the Dead," "Eater of Hearts," and "Great of Death."
Ammit lived near the scales of justice in Duat, the Egyptian underworld. In the Hall of Two Truths, Anubis weighed the heart of a person against the feather of Ma'at, the goddess of truth, which was depicted as an ostrich feather (the feather was often pictured in Ma'at's headdress). If the heart was judged to be not pure, Ammit would devour it, and the person undergoing judgement was not allowed to continue their voyage towards Osiris and immortality. Once Ammit swallowed the heart, the soul was believed to become restless forever; this was called "to die a second time."
"Made it without being Victored," Eddie says breathlessly as he sneaks into the bedroom where Patricia is menacing KT.
1. Eddie's got mad sneaking-into-girls'-bedrooms skillz.
2. Silly Eddie, he doesn't realize that "Victored" means "padlocked."
He's going to camp on the floor to watch KT. Because this is Nick, so he can't lie in bed with Patricia and grope her up.
Evil Patricia is so evil she won't even feed poor KT.
The phonograph is mysteriously restored. Patricia says it's the house, but I'm guessing from her devious facial expression that Team Evil fixed it to lead Sibuna to a misleading clue or something. I mean, they have Frobie to record whatever.
It took twelve hours for one of the other people in the house to unlock the door. Although Willow is quite alarmed by the note on the door saying not to open it because "KT is both infectious and delusional."
Ha, KT tells Willow that it's Patricia's idea of a joke. Sounds about right.
So, the clue that may or may not be real says that the descendents have important heirlooms.
So wait. If Joy is a descendent, it was probably through her dad, who ajkdjskajdksa I hate that guy.
Alfie's going through his belongings, and Eddie tells him, "Think old, dusty, artefact-y."
So, Jerome (another descendent) has to improv a lullaby for the play, and this is what he sings:
Upstairs, downstairs, outside, in
Always search to conquer sin
Not a coincidence, he knows some fucking song to stop the evil, jkasjkasjdklsajdkla.
I am going to be so pissed if this isn't the case.
Man oh man, I wonder whether it was Convict Clarke or the missing mother who is part of the lineage.
Upstairs, downstairs, outside, in
Always search to conquer sin
High and low in dale and hill
Seek ye all to mend all ill
Oh god, and then Alfie joins in
There is just one thing you'll need
Oh shit, they know the same fucking magical lullaby.
Jerome and Alfie and Patricia are all saying that their parents made up that song. Obviously, no.
God, my heart is racing.
Joy needs to get her sorry ass back in here.
In the parlor, the lines will lead
or
The lodge's heights are hot indeed
And I bet the other two have other final lines? But Patricia's not telling. But her musically inclined twin sister might remember!
I'm glad no bored teenager ever spun that globe in the past hundred years.
Oh hey, think maybe your gf is acting suspicious, Eddie? Running off, meeting with Victor? Aw, now he knows the truth and he looks totally sadface. And then he immediately confronts her because, you know, that was smart.
